GREGORY A. SCOTT is a founding partner of Scott & Scott, P.C. Greg received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University in 1973 and his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in 1977. He is admitted to the United State District Courts for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of Illinois.
Greg is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Sangamon County Bar Association where he has served in the capacity of President, Vice President and Treasurer. He serves as Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association Family Law Section Council. Greg is also a member of the American Inns of Court, Lincoln-Douglas Chapter, a member of the Leading Lawyers Network and a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Greg has served his community as an advisor to and a board member of various charitable and religious organizations. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Hope Institute in Springfield. He frequently lectures in the area of family law for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Illinois State Bar Association and the National Business Institute.
Greg concentrates his practice in the area of Family Law at the Trial Court, Appellate Court and Supreme Court levels. He also practices in the areas of Estate Planning and Real Estate and maintains a general practice of law.
